The universal isolation amplifiers of the TV500-Ex series are suitable for potential separation or for the conversion of standard signals from hazardous areas. The universal design of inputs and outputs and the two wide supply voltage ranges limit the variety of types to only two versions. The isolator ST500-Ex additionally allows the direct connection of active 2-wire sensors (4 ... 20 mA) and 3-wire sensors in hazardous areas.

The maximum table values for L0 and C0 may also be exploited as concentrated capacitances and inductances (mixed circuits).

The intrinsically safe measuring inputs are safely galvanically isolated from all other circuits up to a peak value of 375 V.
